Notary Practice Tests by State

One question bank per state, written from that state's notary law, with the statute, rule or state publication behind each question named under it.

These are unofficial notary practice tests, one page per state. No page here is a government website, no commissioning office has reviewed the questions, and no commissioned notary has checked the answers yet.

Pick your own state, because notary law stops at the state line: the fee for an oath, the length of the term, whether a journal or a seal is required, and how remote notarization works are all set by that state's statute and nobody else's.

Every question names what it was written from: a statute, a state rule or, for some New York and Nebraska questions, the state's own booklet or FAQ. Open it and check the rule yourself. Practice mode shows that rule after each question. Exam mode uses only the format facts the state publishes. Where a state does not publish its question count or its pass mark, the page says so and does not guess. The list grows as each state's bank is written and checked against the statute.
