What 4th grade SC READY math covers

The 2026-27 blueprint spreads 50 items over four reporting categories. Patterns, Algebra, and Functional Reasoning is the largest, 15 to 19 items: sums to 100,000, multiplying and dividing by one digit, fraction sums, factor pairs and two-step problems. Numerical Reasoning has 12 to 15: place value to the millions, decimals to hundredths, comparing fractions. Measurement, Geometry, and Spatial Reasoning has 12 to 15: perimeter, area, money, elapsed time, unit conversion and classifying shapes. Data, Probability, and Statistical Reasoning has 7 to 9.

Two definitions South Carolina writes down

The standards count an equilateral triangle as isosceles too, and give a trapezoid exactly one pair of parallel sides. Both are asked here. The code under an answer, such as 4.NR.2.6, is its indicator.

  • The state's format table lists a calculator section only for grades 6 to 8, so work these on paper.
