What the 6th grade SC READY math test covers

The 2026-27 blueprint sorts 50 items into four reporting categories. Patterns, Algebra, and Functional Reasoning is the largest, 18 to 21 items: ratios and rates, expressions, one-step equations and inequalities, integers, fractions and decimals. Measurement, Geometry, and Spatial Reasoning has 11 to 14: area, nets and surface area, volume, angle pairs, the four quadrants. Data, Probability, and Statistical Reasoning has 9 to 11: box plots, median, interquartile range, probability. Numerical Reasoning has 7 to 9: percents, comparing rational numbers, absolute value.

A question for every indicator

The blueprint lists 39 grade 6 indicators, and each has a question here. The code under an answer, such as 6.PAFR.2.8, is the indicator in the 2025 standards.

Questions and answers
