Where the grade 4 points are
Numerical Reasoning carries 30 of the 58 mathematics points: place value and rounding, whole-number operations, fractions, and decimals to hundredths. Angles, symmetry, area and perimeter have 13 points, measurement and data 8, and patterns 7. The math set keeps those shares with 16, 8, 4 and 4 questions. In English language arts, 42 of 60 points are about texts and 18 about grammar and vocabulary.
How the answers are checked
Each math answer is arithmetic on the numbers in the question and was worked out twice. Each language question carries its own short text, written for this page, and names the Georgia expectation it practices.
Grade 4 mathematics allows no calculator, so work these questions with pencil and paper.
When two fractions have different denominators, rename them with a common denominator before you compare or add.
Questions and answers
