How it works

These 70 practice questions follow the grade 7 blueprints of Georgia's End-of-Grade assessments in mathematics and English language arts. They are unofficial: no item comes from the state's tests. This site is not affiliated with the Georgia Department of Education.

Where the grade 7 points are

Almost half of the mathematics test, 28 of 58 points, is Patterning & Algebraic Reasoning, and 16 of those points belong to proportional relationships: unit rates, scale drawings, percent problems and sampling. Rational-number arithmetic carries 12 points. Angles, circles, surface area and volume share 9, and probability has the other 9. So the math set asks 20 algebra and proportion questions, 8 on rational numbers and 6 each on geometry and probability.

What the language set covers

The 30 English language arts questions use short texts written for this page. They practice the blueprint's claims about texts and language: context, structure and style, techniques, research, grammar conventions and vocabulary. The real test asks about full passages.

  • Use 3.14 for pi, as the state's grade 7 formula sheet does. The sheet gives both circle formulas, so learn when each applies.

Questions and answers

What math is on the 7th grade GA Milestones?

The blueprint names four domains: Numerical Reasoning with rational numbers, Patterning & Algebraic Reasoning (expressions, equations, inequalities and proportional relationships), Geometric & Spatial Reasoning, and Probability Reasoning.

Can you use a calculator on the 7th grade Georgia Milestones?

In mathematics, yes. The 2026 administration manual lists a scientific or basic calculator for grades 6 and 7, and the online test has an on-screen calculator.

Is there a formula sheet for the 7th grade math test?

Yes. Georgia's grade 7 formula sheet gives the circumference and area of a circle, the area of a triangle and a parallelogram, and the volume of a right prism or cylinder.
