How this list was compiled: Written from the New Jersey Statutes, Title 45, chapter 15: the real estate brokers and salespersons article, sections 45:15-1 to 45:15-29, and the real estate guaranty fund sections 45:15-34 to 45:15-41. The text was read on 2026-10-04 from the New Jersey Legislature's own statutes download, https://pub.njleg.gov/statutes/STATUTES-TEXT.zip (file dated 2026-10-03). The Legislature's site has no address for a single section, so each question names its section and links to the Legislature's statutes database, where the section can be opened by its number. Licence: Own work. Questions, answer choices and explanations were written for this site from the statute text; nothing is copied from another practice test, a prep book or the state exam. Short quotations from the statutes are marked.

Real estate test questions NJ law can answer

A section of Title 45, chapter 15 settles every question here. The Getting and keeping a license filter is the largest: who needs a license, the 75-hour salesperson course, the two-year license term and renewal. The other filters follow the Commission, courses and continuing education, offices and compensation, escrow accounts, promotion and business names, discipline, and the guaranty fund.

Take it to paper, or redo your misses

Print puts the next set of questions on paper; the answer key adds their explained answers. What you miss goes to the missed pile, which hands those questions back one at a time.

  • A salesperson applicant shows 75 hours of courses at a school the Commission licenses (N.J.S.A. 45:15-10.1).
  • Escrow money is kept in a depository institution physically located in New Jersey (N.J.S.A. 45:15-12.5).
  • Penalty: not more than $5,000 for a first violation, $10,000 for a later one (N.J.S.A. 45:15-17).

Questions and answers

Is there an NJ real estate exam questions pdf?

No file is offered here. Print lays out the next set of questions, the answer key adds explained answers and section numbers, and a browser can save either as a PDF.

Are these the NJ real estate license exam questions?

No. They are practice questions written here from the statutes, not NJ state real estate exam questions. This site has never seen that exam and is not affiliated with the New Jersey Real Estate Commission. A licensed New Jersey broker has yet to review them.

How much can the New Jersey real estate guaranty fund pay?

N.J.S.A. 45:15-34 sets the maximum amount recoverable per transaction at $20,000, for claims on causes of action that accrued after the 1993 amendment took effect.

What does this New Jersey real estate test leave out?

Math, national real estate principles and the Commission's rules in N.J.A.C. 11:5, which were not read for this bank. Only statute law is here. For the exam's own content outline, look to the Commission's website.
