An online practice test for the Hawaii portion of the real estate exam
The Candidate Information Bulletin gives the salesperson State portion nine topics: ascertaining and disclosing material facts 8 items, types of ownership 4, property management 5, land utilization 3, title and conveyances 6, contracts 5, financing 2, escrow and closing 3, professional practices and conduct 14. This bank matches those counts. Exam mode gives all 50 in 90 minutes with the bulletin's 70% pass mark for salespersons.
Hawaii state real estate practice tests as a study guide
Each explanation names the section of the Hawaii Revised Statutes or of rule chapter 16-99 behind it and links to the text, so the bank doubles as a Hawaii real estate license study guide: seller disclosure, conveyance tax, the Landlord-Tenant Code, land court and agency disclosure.
The seller's disclosure statement is due within ten calendar days of acceptance; the buyer then has fifteen to rescind (HRS 508D-5).
Apart from a pet deposit, a security deposit tops out at one month's rent and comes back within fourteen days (HRS 521-44).
Trust funds go to escrow or the trust account by the next business day (HAR 16-99-4).
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the Hawaii real estate exam?
The Candidate Information Bulletin gives the salesperson exam 80 items on the uniform portion in 150 minutes and 50 on the State portion in 90 minutes: 130 items in 240 minutes for both. A few unscored experimental questions may be added.
What is the passing score for the Hawaii real estate exam?
The bulletin lists passing scores as percentages: 70% for salespersons and 75% for brokers. Exam mode here uses 70%, but a pass on this page is practice only and promises nothing about the real exam.
Are these the real Hawaii real estate exam questions?
No. They are our own, written from the Hawaii Revised Statutes and the Commission's rules. This site has never seen the exam, and no licensed Hawaii broker or attorney has reviewed the answers yet.
