The spread of topics follows the state content outline for broker examinations in the Washington Real Estate Commission Candidate Information Bulletin, at https://test-takers.psiexams.com/api/content/bulletin/5054; the Department of Licensing's examination page is https://dol.wa.gov/professional-licenses/real-estate-brokers/exam-real-estate-brokers. A Washington part of real estate exam practice test, section by section
The state content outline in the Candidate Information Bulletin has four sections for brokers, and the bank holds each at twice its count: general rules 9, licensing requirements 16, statutes and rules governing licensee activity 26, real estate brokerage relationships 9. Exam mode draws 30 against the state portion's 90-minute clock.
Who sits only the Washington state portion
An applicant actively licensed in good standing in another jurisdiction takes only the Washington law portion (WAC 308-124A-720). First-time brokers pass both portions, and a passing score on one portion stays valid for six months (WAC 308-124A-760).
Trust funds are deposited by the next banking day after receipt (RCW 18.85.285).
Limited dual agency needs both parties' written consent in the services agreement (RCW 18.86.060).
A buyer's services agreement states a default term of 60 days (RCW 18.86.020).
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the Washington state portion of the real estate exam?
For brokers the Candidate Information Bulletin lists 30 state questions in 90 minutes, beside 100 national questions in 150 minutes. Five to ten unscored experimental questions may be added. Managing brokers answer 44 state questions.
What score do you need to pass the Washington real estate exam?
A minimum scaled score of 70 on each portion for brokers and 75 for managing brokers (WAC 308-124A-760). A scaled score is not a percentage of questions, which is why exam mode here counts right answers and names no pass mark.
Are these the real Washington real estate exam questions?
No. Each was written for this page from the Revised Code of Washington and the Washington Administrative Code. Nobody here has seen the exam, and no licensed Washington broker or attorney has reviewed the answers yet.
