Texas real estate test questions the License Act can answer

Every question here is settled by a section of chapter 1101, The Real Estate License Act. The Complaints, discipline and penalties filter is the largest. The other filters follow the Act and the Commission, getting and renewing a license, courses and continuing education, offices and compensation, representation and intermediaries, and the recovery trust account.

Print a set or clear the missed pile

Print sets out the next set of questions; the answer key adds explained answers and section numbers. Questions you miss collect in the missed pile and come back one by one.

  • A broker acts as an intermediary only with written consent from each party (Tex. Occ. Code § 1101.559).
  • The Commission may issue or renew a license for a period of 24 months (§ 1101.451).
  • Recovery trust account claims from a single transaction may not exceed $125,000 in total (§ 1101.610).

Questions and answers

How many questions are on the Texas real estate exam?

This page gives no count, because none was read from the Commission's own exam page. Section 1101.401 sets no count; it says the sales agent examination must be less exacting and less stringent than the broker examination. For the count, see the Commission's website.

How to pass the Texas real estate exam?

This page makes no promise of a pass. What it holds is the state law part: licensing, courses, intermediaries, the recovery trust account and discipline. A miss shows its section, and missed questions return in the missed pile.

Are these the questions on the Texas real estate license exam?

No. Every question was written for this page from chapter 1101 of the Texas Occupations Code. The site is not affiliated with the Texas Real Estate Commission and has never seen its exam. A licensed Texas broker has not yet reviewed the bank.

What does this practice test leave out?

Math, national real estate principles, the contract forms and the Commission's rules in 22 TAC, none of which were read for this bank. Statute law is all it holds.
