How this list was compiled: Written from the Michigan Occupational Code, 1980 PA 299, Article 25 (real estate brokers and salespersons), MCL 339.2501 to 339.2518. Each section was read on 2026-10-04 on the Michigan Legislature's website (https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL?objectName=mcl-339-2501 and the pages for the sections that follow). Each question names its section and links to that section's page. Licence: Own work. Questions, answer choices and explanations were written for this site from the statute text; nothing is copied from another practice test, a prep book or the state exam. Short quotations from the statutes are marked.
How it works
This unofficial Michigan real estate license test holds 252 questions on Article 25 of the Occupational Code: licensing, courses, trust accounts, agency disclosure and prohibited conduct, with no math. Each answer names its section; checked October 4, 2026.

A real estate license exam Michigan law can answer
Article 25 runs from MCL 339.2501 to 339.2518, and one of its sections answers each question. The Licenses, renewal and transfers filter is the largest: pocket cards, branch offices, and what happens to a license when a salesperson changes brokers. The other filters follow the definitions and exemptions, courses and continuing education, supervision and commissions, trust accounts and property management, agency disclosure, and prohibited conduct.
On paper, or back through the misses
Print gives a paper copy of the next set of questions; the answer key adds their explained answers. The missed pile holds what you got wrong and returns it a question at a time.
A salesperson applicant needs 40 clock hours of courses, 4 of them on civil rights law and equal opportunity in housing (MCL 339.2504).
Deposits go into the trust account within 2 banking days after notice that all parties accepted the offer (MCL 339.2512).
A passing examination score is valid for 1 year (MCL 339.2505).
Questions and answers
Is there a Michigan real estate exam study guide to print?
Nothing is offered for download. Print produces the next set of questions, the answer key their explained answers and section numbers, and the browser's print dialog can save either as a PDF.
Are these the questions on the Michigan real estate salesperson exam?
No. They are practice questions written for this page from Article 25 of the Occupational Code. This site has never seen the state exam and is not affiliated with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. No licensed Michigan broker has reviewed them yet.
Can a Michigan licensee represent both the buyer and the seller?
The disclosure form in MCL 339.2517 says a licensee can be the agent of both the seller and the buyer in a transaction, but only with the knowledge and informed consent, in writing, of both.
What does this practice test leave out?
Math, national real estate principles and the administrative rules, which were not read for this bank. It holds statute law only. For what the Michigan real estate licensing exam itself covers, see the Department's own website.
