CT real estate exam practice test, section by section

The Candidate Information Bulletin gives the salesperson state portion 35 questions: licensing requirements 7, laws governing the activities of licensees 11, agency 9 and Connecticut-specific laws 8. The bank keeps those shares across 50 questions.

Use it as a CT real estate law study guide

Each explanation names its section, most often of chapter 392 of the General Statutes or of the regulations on licensee conduct, sections 20-328-2a to 20-328-11a, and links to the text. The regulations hold what the statutes leave out: offers, yard signs, net listings, online ads and deposits.

  • A net listing is prohibited: the agreed fee is added to the owner's price and the listing made in the usual manner (Regulation 20-328-6a).
  • A team reports any change to its registration within twelve days (Conn. Gen. Stat. 20-312).
  • An unrecorded deed holds the land only against the grantor and the grantor's heirs (Conn. Gen. Stat. 47-10).
