What the New Jersey law questions cover
Six groups: producer licensing and penalties, life policy provisions and claims, annuities sold to consumers, health policy provisions, unfair practices and penalties, and the guaranty association. Whatever you miss is kept in a pile of its own.
Studying for life insurance alone
Set the topic filter to Life policy provisions and claims, then to Annuities sold to consumers. Licensing and guaranty association questions count for life and health alike. Every answer names its N.J.S.A. section; the link opens the Legislature's statutes page, where you look the number up.
- Death claims: settled within 60 days after receipt of due proof of death (17B:25-11).
- A lapsed producer license: reinstated within 12 months of the renewal fee's due date with no written exam (17:22A-33).
- Producer penalties: up to $5,000 for a first offense and $10,000 for each later one (17:22A-45).
