The DMV test Delaware law describes

Section 2713(e) requires at least 2 questions on traffic stops: your rights, the officer's role, and how to file a complaint or compliment. Driver education students are tested by their certified teachers, and the certificate they earn replaces the Division's written and road tests for 6 months. At 18 or older, a written examination comes before any temporary instruction permit (section 2712).

Numbers the Delaware Code expects you to carry

Section 4169 caps speed at 25 mph in business and residential districts, 50 mph on two-lane roadways and 55 mph on four-lane and divided ones. Parking stays 15 feet from a hydrant, 20 from a crosswalk and 30 from a stop sign or signal (section 4179). On roadways of four or more lanes, the driver meeting a stopped school bus from the front does not stop (section 4166).

  • Learning at 16 or 17? A Level 1 permit's first 6 months are supervised, and a parent or guardian certifies 50 hours, 10 at night (section 2710).
  • Press Exam mode under the question, then Start the exam. Marks come at the end. Press Missed to retry wrong answers until you get them right. Clear my progress, pressed twice, wipes all scores and saved questions on this device.
  • Wipers on means headlights on (section 4331), and high beams drop within 500 feet of an oncoming vehicle or 200 feet behind one (section 4350).

Questions and answers

Is this the DMV practice test Delaware publishes itself?

No. The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles links a sample driving exam from dmv.de.gov, and this page has no tie to it. Every question was written from a section of Title 21, not copied from that sample or the Driver Manual.

What does the Delaware permit test cover, and how long is it?

The Division's driver examination page describes a vision screening and a highway sign and signal test. Section 2713(e) adds at least 2 traffic-stop questions. Neither the Division's web pages nor its July 2026 Driver Manual, both read 19 September 2026, give a question count, pass mark or time limit. Exam mode asks 25, this site's length, with no pass line.

Where can I find Delaware DMV test answers?

Not here. This site has never seen the Division's exam questions. You can check the law: every explanation cites its Title 21 section, such as the $100 first-offense hand-held phone penalty in section 4176C.
