How it works
Louisiana's pharmacy law as 120 questions written here. This Louisiana MPJE practice test is unofficial: the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) owns the exam, and neither NABP nor the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy is affiliated with this page.

Louisiana MPJE study guide: two texts
Every question cites the Louisiana Pharmacy Practice Act (La. R.S. 37:1161 to 37:1250, on legis.la.gov) or the Board's rules, Louisiana Administrative Code Title 46, Part LIII, both opened October 12, 2026. The mix follows the four areas of NABP's published MPJE Competency Statements.
What is left out
Federal law is on the federal pharmacy law page. Since May 2026 the Board's Chapter 27 sends most controlled substance record rules to 21 CFR, so few are asked here. Practice for an exam, not medical advice.
- Expiration: Schedule II 90 days, Schedules III and IV six months, everything else one year (LAC 46:LIII.2525).
- Staffing: interns, technicians and candidates together, four to one pharmacist; candidates alone, two to one (LAC 46:LIII.907).
- Records are kept two years and produced within 72 hours of a Board request (R.S. 37:1229, LAC 46:LIII.1121).
Questions and answers
How long is the Louisiana MPJE?
NABP's test day page lists a 2.5-hour exam of 120 computer-based, adaptive questions. A timed run on this page uses the same count and the same clock.
What is the passing score for the MPJE in Louisiana?
LAC 46:LIII.503 asks for a passing score as determined by the board and gives no number, and NABP reports only pass or fail. So this page gives a percent and no verdict.
How many times can you take the MPJE in Louisiana?
LAC 46:LIII.503 lets a candidate who fails repeat the examination under the test administrator's policy, and NABP allows five attempts per jurisdiction. R.S. 37:1202 adds board requirements after a third failure.
Is Louisiana on the Uniform MPJE?
Not when this page was checked. NABP's list of Uniform MPJE jurisdictions, opened October 12, 2026, did not include Louisiana, so its candidates still sit the state-specific MPJE.
Are these questions from the real exam?
No. Each was written here from the public text of the Louisiana Act and rules and names the section to open. Nothing comes from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE or NABP's sample items.
