The Practice Act and Chapter 680-X-2
Every question was written from one of two texts the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy links from its Statutes & Rules page, read October 12, 2026: the Pharmacy Practice Act, Code of Alabama Title 34, Chapter 23, and the Board's rules in Chapter 680-X-2. The split across four areas follows NABP's published MPJE Competency Statements.
Alabama law only
Practice for an exam, not medical advice. Rule 680-X-2-.29 names the Alabama MPJE for score transfer applicants. The Uniform Controlled Substances Act was not read for this bank, and federal questions sit on the federal pharmacy law page.
- Emergency refill: a 72-hour supply, once in 12 months, never Schedule I or II, prescriber told within 24 hours (680-X-2-.26).
- Four technicians per pharmacist if two are certified; three if one is certified (680-X-2-.14).
- Pharmacist licenses and pharmacy permits expire December 31 of even-numbered years; technician registrations in odd-numbered years.
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the Alabama MPJE?
120 questions in 2.5 hours on a computer, by NABP's test day page; the test adapts to your answers. This page offers a timed run of the same size, 120 questions in 150 minutes.
What score do you need on the Alabama MPJE?
Rule 680-X-2-.29 asks a score transfer applicant for an average of 75 on the Alabama MPJE and an oral interview with the Board. NABP reports the exam as pass or fail.
Is there a free Alabama MPJE study guide?
The Board's Statutes & Rules page links the law itself at no cost: Title 34, Chapter 23 and Chapter 680-X-2. Here both become 120 questions, and each names a section or rule to reread after a miss.
How many times can you take the pharmacy law exam in Alabama?
Section 34-23-51(d): after a first failure, a second and third examination within three years; after a third failure, one more, following preparation the Board approves. NABP allows 5 MPJE attempts per jurisdiction.
Are these real Alabama MPJE questions?
No. All 120 were written for this site from the public text of the Alabama statute and Board rules. None is taken from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE or NABP's sample items, and no Alabama agency has reviewed them.
