How it works
This TN MPJE practice test is unofficial: 120 questions of our own on the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy rules. It is not affiliated with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), which owns the exam, or with the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy.

A Tennessee MPJE practice test from Chapter 1140
The questions come from the Rules of the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy, chapters 1140-01 to 1140-05, 1140-11 and 1140-15, read on the Tennessee Secretary of State's site on October 12, 2026. They are split across the four areas as NABP's published MPJE Competency Statements weigh the exam.
Board rules only
Practice for an exam, not medical advice. Rule 1140-01-.05 makes the MPJE and the NAPLEX the Tennessee licensing examinations. The Tennessee Code itself was not used for this bank, and the federal part of the exam is on the federal pharmacy law page.
- Technician to pharmacist ratio: 6:1, lifted when the technicians beyond it are certified (1140-02-.02).
- One temporary absence a day, an hour at most, with a "pharmacist not on duty" sign (1140-03-.07).
- Prescription orders are kept two years; collaborative practice records ten (1140-03-.03, 1140-03-.17).
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the Tennessee MPJE?
120, answered on a computer in 2.5 hours, by NABP's test day page; the exam adapts as you go. This page's exam mode runs to the same 120 questions and 150 minutes.
What is the passing score for the Tennessee MPJE?
NABP reports the result as pass or fail. Rule 1140-01-.05 asks for the minimum passing scores "as established and nationally accepted" and names no number, so a percent here is not that score.
Is there a free MPJE study guide for Tennessee?
The rules the exam is built on are free on the Secretary of State's site, in Chapter 1140. This page turns seven of its chapters into 120 questions, each naming its rule, so a miss sends you to the right paragraph.
How many times can you take the MPJE in Tennessee?
NABP allows 5 attempts per jurisdiction. Rule 1140-01-.05(4): after three consecutive failures of the NAPLEX or the MPJE, the Board may require review courses before the next attempt.
Are these real Tennessee MPJE questions?
No. All 120 were written for this site from the public text of the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy rules. None is taken from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE or NABP's sample items, and no Tennessee agency has reviewed them.
