What the Tennessee knowledge exam covers
The content outline in Tennessee's candidate handbook, read October 8, 2026, has nine areas. Basic nursing skills carry 35% of the exam and activities of daily living 22%, and this bank keeps those shares.
Where the answers come from
Forty-four questions are checked against Tennessee's own Standards for Nursing Homes, Rule 0720-18. The rest name the handbook, the Health Facilities Commission or a National Institute on Aging page.
- Seven questions cover Tennessee's own testing and registry rules: attempts, the two-year window, renewal and reciprocity.
