How it works
This unofficial Nebraska barber practice test asks our own questions on the Barber Act and the Board's sanitary rules. It is not affiliated with the Nebraska Board of Barber Examiners or NIC.

What the Nebraska barber exam is
Neb. Rev. Stat. 71-210 has the examination include a practical demonstration and a written test. The Board conducts the practical on two models; the written test is a national barber theory examination, taken through a testing company the Board links.
What this page practices
This bank does not follow the national theory outline, which lists no state law. It asks Nebraska's own text: the Board's sanitary rules and infection control guidelines, its shop rules, the Barber Act and the Board's practical examination instructions.
- Sanitizing takes three steps: wash in hot water and soap, rinse in clear water, then immerse completely in germicidal solution (Rule 8).
- Styptic is used in liquid or powder form only; styptic pencils and bristle neck dusters are prohibited (Rules 5 and 8).
- On the practical, the first model's haircut is checked while still wet, and no block haircut is allowed on the second (the Board's practical instructions).
