Where the grade 4 points are

Math gives 27 of its 52 points to Major Content: fractions, multi-step problems, and multiplication comparisons with place value. Supporting content has 9 points and reasoning and modeling 16, so the math set has 8, 3 and 5 questions. Science reports three categories: Investigate, Evaluate and Reason Scientifically.

Grade 4 social studies is the ancient world

Louisiana's fourth grade course runs from prehistory and Mesopotamia to Egypt, India, China, Greece, Rome and the early Americas, with Poverty Point in what is now Louisiana. The social studies set follows the three content categories of the state's guide.

Questions and answers

What is on the 4th grade LEAP test?

Four subjects in 2026-2027: English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. From 2027-2028 fourth graders no longer take the social studies test, and from 2028-2029 the grade 4 science test covers kindergarten through grade 4.

How long is the LEAP test for 4th grade?

Math has three sessions of 65 minutes. English language arts has sessions of 90, 55 and 45 minutes. Science and social studies each have two sessions of 80 minutes. Every session is timed.

How many questions are on the 4th grade LEAP math test?

37 tasks count, for 52 points, and 3 to 5 field-test tasks do not. Some tasks are written responses worth 3, 4 or 6 points; this page's math questions are all multiple choice.

Is this the state's LEAP 4th grade practice test?

No. The Louisiana Department of Education lists its own practice tests and answer keys on one page, which the button under the questions opens. Nothing here comes from them.
