The broker's Kansas outline
The Kansas State Exam Content Outline, printed with the Kansas Real Estate Candidate Handbook, gives broker candidates 40 scored Kansas questions: duties and powers of the Commission 2, licensing 3, licensees' activities 8, prohibited acts 8, BRRETA 15 and broker only topics 4. The bank keeps close to those shares and leaves the general exam out.
Broker only topics
Brokers alone are asked about exemptions from licensure, qualifications and examinations, trust funds and trust accounts, supervision of primary and branch offices, and commercial sales shared with a licensee of another state.
A broker keeps trust account interest only with the written consent of all parties to the transaction (K.S.A. 58-3061).
A copy of a commercial broker cooperation agreement reaches the Commission within five business days of signing (K.S.A. 58-3077).
A supervising broker whose license is suspended may not personally finalize pending closings (K.S.A. 58-3084).
