How this list was compiled: Our own questions, written to the four areas of the MPJE Competency Statements that the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy publishes at https://nabp.pharmacy/programs/examinations/mpje/competency-statements/ (opened 2026-10-14): Area 1 Licensure/Personnel 22%, Area 2 Pharmacist Practice 33%, Area 3 Dispensing Requirements 24%, Area 4 Pharmacy Operations 21%. The 120 questions are 26, 40, 29 and 25. Every fact was read on 2026-10-14 in the first two texts on the Delaware Board of Pharmacy's own MPJE Study Material list (https://dprfiles.delaware.gov/pharmacy/MPJE_Study_Material1.pdf): the Delaware Code for Pharmacy, Title 24, Chapter 25, on the State's code site (https://delcode.delaware.gov/title24/c025/index.html), and the Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations, 24 DE Admin. Code 2500 (https://regulations.delaware.gov/AdminCode/title24/2500.shtml). Each question names its section or regulation. Licence: Questions, choices and explanations are original work of this site, written from the public text of the Delaware statute and regulations. Nothing is taken from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE, NABP's sample items, a prep company or a review book.

How it works

The Delaware Board of Pharmacy publishes a short MPJE study list. This unofficial Delaware MPJE study guide turns its first two entries into 120 questions of our own. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) owns the exam; neither is affiliated with us.

Chapter 25 and Regulation 2500

Every question comes from Title 24, Chapter 25 of the Delaware Code (delcode.delaware.gov) or the Board's regulations, 24 DE Admin. Code 2500 (regulations.delaware.gov), both read October 14, 2026. Chapter 25 changed on June 30, 2026; the questions follow the code as posted. Subchapter VIII (sections 2565 to 2570), added in 2026, is to be implemented within a year of enactment or on the Board's notice of final regulations.

What is left for you to read

Practice for an exam, not medical advice. The Board's list goes on to Delaware's controlled substances code and regulations, tamper-resistant prescription forms, the prescriber rules of three other boards and federal references. None of those was read for this bank. Federal questions are on the federal pharmacy law page.

  • For a brand to be dispensed, the prescriber handwrites Brand Necessary or Brand Medically Necessary (24 Del. C. § 2550).
  • A pharmacy keeps a record of every prescription dispensed for not less than 3 years (24 Del. C. § 2532).
  • The pharmacist-in-charge completes the self-inspection report by February 1st each year (Regulation 3.1.2.7).

Questions and answers

Does the Delaware Board of Pharmacy publish an MPJE study guide?

It publishes a one-page list, MPJE Study Material, revised 8/2021. The list names Chapter 25 of Title 24, the Board's regulations, six sections of the controlled substances code, its regulations, federal references and prescriber rules of other boards. It holds no questions.

How many questions are on the Delaware MPJE?

120 computer-based questions in 2.5 hours, by NABP's test day page. The questions adapt as you answer, the result is pass or fail, and NABP allows 5 attempts per jurisdiction.

How soon can you retake the MPJE in Delaware?

Regulation 1.2.5 allows a retake at least 31 days after a failure. After 3 failures, the applicant first works 3 months full-time as an intern or completes a one-semester college course on jurisprudence.

Does Delaware use the Uniform MPJE?

Delaware was not on NABP's list of Uniform MPJE jurisdictions on October 14, 2026. Regulation 1.2.1 still asks every applicant for a passing grade on the NAPLEX and on the MPJE for Delaware.

Is this the real Delaware MPJE?

No. Each question was written for this site from the public text of Chapter 25 and Regulation 2500, never from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE or NABP's sample items. No Delaware agency has reviewed this page.
