How this list was compiled: Our own questions, written to the four areas of the MPJE Competency Statements that the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy publishes at https://nabp.pharmacy/programs/examinations/mpje/competency-statements/ (opened 2026-10-14): Area 1 Licensure/Personnel 22%, Area 2 Pharmacist Practice 33%, Area 3 Dispensing Requirements 24%, Area 4 Pharmacy Operations 21%. The 60 questions are 13, 20, 14 and 13. Every fact was read on 2026-10-14 on the Wisconsin Legislature's site, docs.legis.wisconsin.gov: Wisconsin Statutes chapter 450 (Pharmacy Examining Board) and sections 961.23, 961.235 and 961.38 of chapter 961 (Uniform Controlled Substances Act), in the 2023-24 Statutes updated through 2025 Wisconsin Act 247 and published October 1, 2026, and Wisconsin Administrative Code chapters Phar 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 16 and 19. Each question names its section. Licence: Questions, choices and explanations are original work of this site, written from the public text of the Wisconsin statutes and administrative code. Nothing is taken from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE, NABP's sample items, a prep company or a review book.

How it works

This unofficial Wisconsin MPJE study guide is 60 practice questions of our own on Wisconsin pharmacy law. It is not affiliated with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), which owns the exam, or the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board.

A Wisconsin pharmacy law study guide in question form

Every question was written from the Wisconsin Legislature's own pages, read October 14, 2026: chapter 450 of the Wisconsin Statutes, three sections of chapter 961, and the Pharmacy Examining Board's rules, chapters Phar 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 16 and 19. The split across four areas follows NABP's published MPJE Competency Statements. Rule Phar 4.02 names the multi-state pharmacy jurisprudence examination as the test of Wisconsin laws and rules.

Wisconsin law only

Practice for an exam, not medical advice. Wisconsin was not among the Uniform MPJE jurisdictions NABP listed on October 14, 2026, so candidates still sit the state-specific exam. Federal questions sit on the federal pharmacy law page, and the Controlled Substances Board rules were not read for this bank.

  • Emergency extension: a 7-day supply, never a controlled substance, once per drug in a one-year period, prescriber notified (450.11(5)(bm)).
  • An identification card is needed for schedule II or III drugs, unless the recipient is personally known (450.11(1b)).
  • Five years: prescription records, medication profiles, temperature logs and delegation records all share that period in the Phar rules.

Questions and answers

How many questions are on the Wisconsin MPJE?

120 computer-based questions in 2.5 hours, delivered adaptively, by NABP's test day page. The timed run here is half that length at the same pace: 60 questions in 75 minutes.

What is a passing score on the Wisconsin MPJE?

Rule Phar 4.03 names no number: the board may adopt the recommended passing score of the examination provider, and each examination is scored separately. NABP reports the MPJE as pass or fail.

Is there a free Wisconsin law MPJE study guide?

The law itself is free at docs.legis.wisconsin.gov: chapter 450 of the statutes and the Phar chapters of the administrative code. This page turns them into 60 questions, each naming a section to reread after a miss.

Do pharmacists licensed in another state take the Wisconsin MPJE?

Yes. Rule Phar 2.05 asks an applicant licensed in another state for the NABP license transfer application and evidence of passing the multi-state pharmacy jurisprudence examination with Wisconsin as primary state.

Is this Wisconsin pharmacy MPJE study guide made of real exam questions?

No. All 60 were written for this site from the public text of the Wisconsin statutes and administrative code. None is taken from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE or NABP's sample items, and no Wisconsin agency has reviewed them.
