How it works
This unofficial Missouri MPJE practice test asks 120 questions on Missouri pharmacy law, from permit classes to controlled substance supply limits. It is not affiliated with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), which owns the exam, or the Missouri Board of Pharmacy.

A Missouri MPJE pharmacy study guide in question form
The bank is drawn from RSMo Chapter 338, the prescribing, labeling and monitoring sections of Chapter 195, the Board of Pharmacy's rules in 20 CSR 2220 and the controlled substance rules in 19 CSR 30-1, all read on revisor.mo.gov and sos.mo.gov on October 12, 2026. Its 120 questions are divided among the four areas of NABP's published MPJE Competency Statements.
Missouri law only
Missouri was not among the Uniform MPJE jurisdictions NABP listed on October 12, 2026. Federal law, which the exam also asks, is on the federal pharmacy law page. Practice for an exam, not medical advice.
- Controlled substance inventory: a Missouri registrant takes a new one at least once a year (19 CSR 30-1.042).
- Supply limits in RSMo 195.080: thirty days for Schedule II, ninety for Schedules III to V, seven for an initial opioid for acute pain.
- Emergency supply with no refill authorization: seven days, thirty if the prescriber has died, never a controlled substance (RSMo 338.200).
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the Missouri MPJE?
By NABP's test day page the MPJE is 120 computer-based questions in one 2.5-hour sitting, and the questions adapt as you answer. Exam mode on this page is set to the same length and time.
What is the passing score for the MPJE in Missouri?
20 CSR 2220-7.030 requires a minimum score of 75 on each of the NAPLEX and the MPJE. NABP reports the MPJE result as pass or fail, so this page shows a percent and no verdict.
How many times can you take the MPJE in Missouri?
Under 20 CSR 2220-7.030 the board must approve a retest after three consecutive failures, and an applicant who fails the MPJE five times may not retake it unless the board approves for extenuating circumstances.
Is there a free Missouri MPJE study guide?
The law itself is free: the Revisor of Statutes posts RSMo Chapters 338 and 195, and the Secretary of State posts 20 CSR 2220. This page turns them into questions.
Are these real Missouri MPJE questions?
No. All 120 were written for this site from the public text of Missouri's statutes and rules. None is taken from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE or NABP's sample items, and no Missouri agency has reviewed them.
