How it works
This unofficial North Dakota MPJE practice test asks 60 of our own questions on state pharmacy law. The exam belongs to the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP); this page is not affiliated with it or any state agency.

Chapter 43-15 and the Board's rules
Every question was written from two public texts read October 14, 2026 on the Legislative Assembly's site: North Dakota Century Code chapter 43-15, Pharmacists, and the Board of Pharmacy's rules in Administrative Code title 61, from pharmacy permits and technicians to transfers, labels and the monitoring program. NABP's MPJE Competency Statements set the four areas and their weights.
North Dakota law only
On October 14, 2026 NABP's Uniform MPJE list of states did not include North Dakota. No question here comes from the Uniform Controlled Substances Act, chapter 19-03.1. For the exam's federal law, use the federal pharmacy law page. Exam practice only, never medical advice.
- Emergency refill: one time, up to a 30-day supply, never a Schedule II drug, the prescriber told within a reasonable time (43-15-01).
- Technician ratio: one pharmacist to four in retail and hospital settings, one to five in a closed-door pharmacy (61-02-07.1-04).
- Closing a pharmacy: tell the Board 30 days ahead, customers 15 days ahead and the DEA 14 days ahead (61-02-01-15).
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the North Dakota MPJE?
NABP's test day page describes 120 adaptive, computer-based questions answered in 2.5 hours. Here the timed run asks 60 in 75 minutes, so the pace matches at half the length.
What score do you need on the North Dakota MPJE?
Rule 61-03-01-03 asks for a passing score in any examination the Board requires. NABP gives the MPJE result as pass or fail, so you see a percent here and no pass mark.
Do pharmacists transferring a license to North Dakota take a law exam?
Yes. Rule 61-03-01-04 says a licensure transfer applicant must pass the North Dakota law examination and pay the fees. A military member or spouse on a provisional license has three months to pass the MPJE.
Where can I read North Dakota pharmacy law for free?
The Legislative Assembly publishes chapter 43-15 and each chapter of Administrative Code title 61 as PDFs at ndlegis.gov, and the Board's Laws/Rules page links a combined law book. Each answer here names a section to reread.
Are these real North Dakota MPJE questions?
No. The 60 questions are this site's own, written from the published North Dakota statute and rules. They do not come from the MPJE, the Pre-MPJE or NABP's sample items, and no North Dakota agency has checked them.
