How it works
This unofficial MN MPJE study guide asks 120 questions on the law behind Minnesota's version of the MPJE. It is not affiliated with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), the exam's owner, or the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.

A Minnesota MPJE study guide in question form
The questions come from three texts on the Revisor of Statutes' site, read October 14, 2026: Minnesota Statutes chapter 151, the prescription sections of chapter 152 on controlled substances, and Minnesota Rules chapter 6800, the Board of Pharmacy's rules. Topic weights are those of NABP's MPJE Competency Statements.
Minnesota law only
Practice for an exam, not medical advice. The schedule lists, fee amounts, wholesaler licensing and the hospital and nuclear pharmacy rules are not asked. Where an older rule and the statute differ on technician ratios, the bank follows the statute. Federal questions are on the federal pharmacy law page.
- A pharmacist may supervise up to three technicians; a pharmacy may add one more in total when a technician holds a national certification (section 151.102).
- Prescription drug orders stay on file two years, and none is filled or refilled after 12 months (section 151.211; part 6800.3510).
- Opiates for acute pain: seven days for an adult, five for a minor, four for dental pain (section 152.11).
Questions and answers
Is there a free MN MPJE study guide?
The law itself is free on the Revisor of Statutes' site: chapters 151 and 152 of the statutes and chapter 6800 of the rules. This page turns them into 120 questions, and each answer names the section or part to reread.
How many questions are on the Minnesota MPJE?
NABP's test day page gives 120 computer-based questions in 2.5 hours, delivered adaptively and reported as pass or fail. The timed run on this page matches that length and gives a percent with no verdict.
How many times can you take the MPJE in Minnesota?
Minnesota Rules part 6800.1250 lets a failed applicant retake an examination within the next 18 months. After three failures, a further attempt needs a petition the board accepts. NABP's own limit is 5 attempts per jurisdiction.
Does Minnesota use the Uniform MPJE?
Not as of October 14, 2026. Minnesota was not on NABP's list of Uniform MPJE jurisdictions that day, and part 6800.1300 still requires the Minnesota version of the Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam for licensure transfer.
Are these real Minnesota MPJE questions?
No. NABP keeps its questions confidential, and none appears here. The 120 questions were written from Minnesota's public statutes and rules, each naming its section or part. The Minnesota Board of Pharmacy has not reviewed or endorsed them.
