How this list was compiled: Own questions, written from Minnesota Statutes as published by the Office of the Revisor of Statutes at https://www.revisor.mn.gov/statutes/, downloaded and read on 2026-10-09: chapter 60K (insurance producers), section 45.027 (the commissioner's civil penalty), chapter 61A (life insurance, including sections 61A.53 to 61A.60 on replacement), chapter 61B (the Minnesota Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association), chapter 62A (accident and health insurance, Medicare supplement policies), chapter 62S (long-term care insurance) and chapter 72A (rebates, unfair and deceptive practices, claims practices, annuity recommendations and the right to cancel). Statutes only: no rule of Minnesota Rules was read. No question here was taken from a prelicensing course, a testing vendor's handbook or a question pool, so this bank does not cover the product knowledge the state exam also asks. The topics were compared on October 9, 2026 with the Minnesota Specific part (State Laws, Rules, and Regulations) of the Life Producer and the Accident & Health Producer content outlines, which name the statute chapters beside each topic; the outlines are linked from the Insurance Examinations Candidate Information Bulletin (10/1/2026) for the examinations of the Minnesota Department of Commerce, on the examination page https://test-takers.psiexams.com/mnins (the outlines: https://proctor2.psionline.com/media/programs/MNINS/Life.pdf and https://proctor2.psionline.com/media/programs/MNINS/AccHea.pdf). Licence: Own work. Every question, wrong choice and explanation was written for this site from the text of the law. Nothing comes from a testing vendor, a prep course or an exam question pool.

A Minnesota life health insurance exam study guide by topic
Six topic sets: producer licensing and continuing education, life policy provisions, annuities, replacement and the right to cancel, accident and health provisions, unfair practices, and the guaranty association. Take accident and health alone with the topic filter, or life alone, then reread each missed section on the Revisor's site.
What only Minnesota's statutes say
Life insurance and an annuity may not be sold as one policy. A producer's noncash gift is capped at the lesser of 5 percent of the premium or $250 a policy year. The life grace period is counted as one month. Section 60K.361 lists what the 20 hours of prelicense education for each line must cover.
Right to cancel: at least 10 days from receipt, 30 days when the policy is a replacement (Minn. Stat. 72A.52).
Continuing education: 24 credit hours each licensing period, 3 in ethics, no more than half from insurer courses (60K.56).
Guaranty association: $500,000 life death benefit, $130,000 cash value, $250,000 annuity (61B.19).
Questions and answers
Are these Minnesota accident and health insurance practice tests free?
Yes. All 106 questions are free and unofficial. Each was written from Minnesota Statutes, and each answer links to its section on the Revisor of Statutes website.
How many questions are on the Minnesota accident and health insurance exam?
The Accident & Health Producer content outline lists 50 scored general questions and 25 on Minnesota law, plus 5 unscored pretest questions in each part. The candidate information bulletin dated October 1, 2026 allows 2 hours and asks 70% correct to pass.
How many hours of prelicense education does Minnesota require?
Twenty hours for each major line of authority, so 20 for life and 20 for accident and health (Minn. Stat. 60K.36, subd. 4). A course sponsored by an insurance company or its producers does not count.
Are these the real Minnesota insurance exam questions?
No. They are this site's own questions on the statutes. The Minnesota Department of Commerce did not write or review them, and the product knowledge the state examination also asks is not here. Exam mode draws 25, the size of the Minnesota part.
