Code Chapter 81 (replacement of life insurance and annuities) read on pacodeandbulletin.gov, on October 4, 2026. Licence: Own work. What the Pennsylvania law questions cover

Six groups: producer licensing and continuing education, life policy provisions, annuities and replacement, accident and health provisions, unfair practices and penalties, and the guaranty association. Replacement questions come from 31 Pa. Code Chapter 81, rebate questions from the Unfair Insurance Practices Act. Missed questions wait in their own pile.

  • Time limit on certain defenses in an accident and sickness policy: three years. Life incontestability: two (Insurance Company Law, sections 618 and 410).

Questions and answers

Is this PA life insurance exam practice test free?

Yes. All 136 practice questions are free and unofficial, and each answer names the act and section it comes from.

How many questions are on the PA life and health insurance exam?

This page does not give that number. No section read for this bank sets the exam's length, time limit or pass mark, and none was copied from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department. Exam mode draws 25 questions as a set size only.

Does Pennsylvania require a prelicensing course before the exam?

Section 604-A of the Insurance Department Act no longer sets one: its subsection on preexamination education was deleted by an amendment of October 31, 2024. The section still requires passing the licensing examination before applying for a license.

How many continuing education hours does a Pennsylvania producer need?

24 credit hours of approved continuing education for each two-year license period, at least 3 of them on ethics, under section 608-A of the Insurance Department Act. Up to 24 excess credit hours may be carried forward to the next period.

Are these the real Pennsylvania insurance exam questions?

No. Nobody here has seen the state exam. The questions were written from Pennsylvania statutes and 31 Pa. Code, and the Pennsylvania Insurance Department did not write or review them.
