What the Nebraska law questions cover

The Department's outline for Series 13-03 gives Insurance Regulation 15 percent of the exam and cites statutes again under life, annuity, health and group topics. The ten guaranty association questions come from the same chapter; the outline does not cite that act.

A free Nebraska health and life insurance license study guide to the statutes

Two Nebraska figures to know: the optional cancellation provision of a health policy calls for at least thirty days' notice by certified or registered mail, and a late change of name or address can cost up to $500 (Neb. Rev. Stat. 44-710.04, 44-4054). Topics the outline rests on Title 210 of the Nebraska Administrative Code, such as policy replacement, illustrations and Medicare supplement plans, are not asked, and neither are product knowledge or federal law.

  • A life policy's grace period is one month, with interest of at most six percent a year (Neb. Rev. Stat. 44-502).
  • Small-employer group health coverage continues up to six months after an involuntary termination, at up to 102 percent of the premium (Neb. Rev. Stat. 44-1640).

How many continuing education hours does a Nebraska insurance producer need?

Does Nebraska require a prelicensing course for the insurance exam?

Neb. Rev. Stat. 44-4053 puts no course among its four findings for a resident license: age eighteen, no ground for denial, the fees, and a passed examination for each line. The Department says it has no pre-licensing study materials and recommends no providers.

Are these the real Nebraska insurance exam questions?

No. They are our own, written from the Nebraska Revised Statutes. This site has never seen the state exam, and the Department of Insurance did not write or review them.
