What the Washington law questions cover
Six groups: producer licensing and continuing education, life policy provisions, annuity best interest and replacement, disability (accident and health) provisions, unfair practices and penalties, and the guaranty association. A missed question is set aside so you can try it again.
Studying for life insurance alone
Set the topic filter to Life policy provisions, then to Annuity best interest and replacement. Producer licensing and the guaranty association apply to the life line and the disability line alike. Each answer names its RCW section or WAC rule.
- Continuing education: 24 credit hours, 3 of them ethics, in every license continuation period (WAC 284-17-224).
- An individual life policy returned in its 10-day period: a 10 percent penalty is added to a refund not paid within 30 days (RCW 48.23.380).
- Death proceeds: interest runs from the date of death at not less than 8 percent (RCW 48.23.300).
