Which lines of Series 16-19 these are

Insurance Regulation is 15 percent of the outline: the Public Adjuster Licensing Law (63 P.S. 1601 to 1608), the contract rules of 31 Pa. Code Chapter 115 and claim settlement law. The topics here follow those lines. Policy forms and the adjustment process are not asked.

PA public adjuster license study guide: the act over the regulation

Act 21 of 2012 rewrote the licensing law and set aside regulations that conflict with it. Chapter 115 still prints a four-day cancellation notice where the act gives a shorter time to rescind, and the act allows two calendar days to notify the insurer. The questions ask the act.

  • A public adjuster may not act in any manner on claims for personal injury or automobile property damage (63 P.S. 1605(c)).
  • The bond is at least $20,000 and is delivered before any business is transacted (63 P.S. 1604).
  • Soliciting while emergency responders are still at the scene is a ground for discipline (63 P.S. 1606(a)(19)).
