Florida public adjuster study guide: what the exam weighs
The outline effective January 1, 2026 gives 31 percent to Florida laws pertinent to public adjusters and 15 percent to selected Florida statutes and rules. Property insurance knowledge and policy forms take 25 percent each; motor vehicle damage and residual markets, 2 percent each.
What is asked here
The statute side of those two law parts: licensing and the apprenticeship, the contract and its fee caps, solicitation and advertising, records, mediation and notice of suit. Policy forms and the two Florida Administrative Code rules the outline cites are not asked.
The insured may cancel within 10 days of signing; after a declared emergency, 30 days from the loss if that is longer (F.S. 626.854(7)).
A written, itemized estimate is due within 60 days of the contract (F.S. 626.854(12)).
