How this list was compiled: Own questions, written from the Michigan Compiled Laws as published on the Michigan Legislature's website (https://www.legislature.mi.gov/Laws/MCL), read on October 14, 2026: the Insurance Code of 1956, 1956 PA 218 (chapters 21, 28, 30, 31, 32, 33 and 79); the Michigan Vehicle Code (MCL 257.328 and 257.520); and the Worker's Disability Compensation Act of 1969 (MCL 418.118 to 418.641). Each question names its section and links to it. The topics follow the content outline of the Michigan Property and Casualty Producer/Solicitor examination, Series 16-81, which prints the MCL sections beside its Michigan topics; the outline, the cut scores and the candidate bulletin are linked from the Department of Insurance and Financial Services page https://www.michigan.gov/difs/industry/licensing-ins/examinations (the outline: https://proctor2.psionline.com/media/programs/MIINS/PropCas%20Prod%2016-81x.pdf). Where Michigan law sits in the exam
Insurance Regulation is 15 of the 150 items. The outline cites more Michigan law under the basics (the guaranty association, fire policy provisions, cancellation, the Essential Insurance Act), under automobile insurance (no-fault and the placement facility) and under workers' compensation.
What is on the other Michigan pages
Producer licensing, appointments and trade practices are drilled on the Michigan life and health page. The fire policy's appraisal and loss rules, the main no-fault benefits and the claim deadlines are on the Michigan adjuster page.
More than 6 insurance eligibility points in three years makes a driver ineligible for regular automobile insurance (MCL 500.2103).
The guaranty association's cap is $5,000,000 a claim, adjusted yearly; workers' compensation and personal protection claims have no cap (MCL 500.7925).
A declination and a termination must each give every specific reason (MCL 500.2122, 500.2123).
