Questions and answers
Is there a free Kentucky life insurance practice test?
Yes, and it needs no account. It asks only the Kentucky law unit that closes each study outline, so the general units of each exam need their own practice.
How many questions are on the Kentucky life insurance exam?
The Department of Insurance's study outlines give the Life exam 50 questions, 3 of them on Kentucky law, and the Health exam 50, with 4 on Kentucky law. The 25 questions drawn in exam mode here are a set size, not the exam's length.
What is the passing score for the Kentucky insurance license exam?
Seventy percent. 806 KAR 9:025, Section 2(5) says every applicant shall answer correctly seventy percent of the questions to pass the examination.
How many hours of prelicensing does Kentucky require for life and health?
Forty hours for life and health together, or twenty hours for one line alone (KRS 304.9-105). A completed prelicensing course is valid for one year from the date of completion (806 KAR 9:025).
Are these the real Kentucky insurance exam questions?
No. They are our own, written from the statutes and regulations. KRS 304.9-180 bars the commissioner from furnishing lists of examination questions, and the Kentucky Department of Insurance did not write or review these.
