How it works
These unofficial Georgia life and health insurance exam questions ask the law only: 104 questions from Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia and the Insurance Department's rules. Policy types, underwriting and textbook theory are not asked.

Georgia life insurance exam outline: the law part
Six groups: agent licensing and continuing education, life policy provisions, replacement and annuity sales, accident and sickness provisions, unfair practices and penalties, and the guaranty association. That is the outline of this bank, not the state's exam outline. A candidate for the life line alone can skip the accident and sickness group; the rest is a free GA life insurance practice exam on the law.
Where the Georgia law was read
Code sections were read in a public copy dated November 2022 and checked against all 1,414 bills the Governor signed from 2023 to 2026. Rules were read on the Secretary of State's rules site. Penalties raised by a 2026 act are asked as they stand from January 1, 2027.
- A probationary license now runs 3 to 24 months; a 2023 act doubled the old 12-month limit (O.C.G.A. 33-23-14).
- Life policy grace period: not less than 30 days. Group life: not less than 31 (O.C.G.A. 33-25-3, 33-27-3).
- Fail the exam and the wait to retake is 14 days; after three tries it is 60 days (Rule 120-2-3-.09).
Questions and answers
What is the passing score on the Georgia life and health insurance exam?
Rule 120-2-3-.09 sets the passing grade at seventy percent. An applicant who scores sixty percent with a licensed agent sponsor may be given a temporary license on an insurer's written request. No rule read here gives the exam's length or clock.
How many hours of prelicensing education does Georgia require?
Rule 120-2-3-.08 requires a prelicensing course of at least eight hours of instruction for each major line of authority. Life is one major line and accident and sickness is another.
How many continuing education hours does a Georgia agent need?
Twenty-four hours in each two-year license period, three of them in ethics. An agent continually licensed for 20 years or longer needs twenty hours, three in ethics (Rule 120-2-3-.15).
Are these the real Georgia insurance exam questions?
No. Each was written for this site from the Georgia Code, a signed act or a department rule. The examination is prepared and given by the Commissioner or a designee under O.C.G.A. 33-23-10, and this page has no part in it.
