What grade 4 math covers

The publisher's objective sheet gives Level 14 eight mathematics objectives, from Number & Number Relations to Problem Solving & Reasoning. Under them sit five grade 4 standards domains: operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, fractions, measurement and data, and geometry. The math set has six questions for each objective. The sheet assigns no share of the test to any objective, so none counts for more here.

How the answers are checked

Every mathematics answer was computed a second time by a separate calculation. Each question names the Common Core standard it practices, and the word meanings in the language and reading sets were checked in Wiktionary.

Questions and answers

What is on the 4th grade TerraNova math test?

TerraNova NEXT at grade 4 is Level 14. Its mathematics objectives are number relations, computation and estimation, operation concepts, measurement, geometry, data, patterns and algebra, and problem solving.

How long is the Terra Nova math test for 4th grade?

55 minutes of testing. The publisher's brochure lists two mathematics parts for grades 3 to 8: 15 minutes, a break, then 40 minutes.

How many questions are on the 4th grade TerraNova math test?

The publisher's page and brochure for TerraNova NEXT give testing times but no question count. For the earlier TerraNova3 Complete Battery, which it still offers on paper, it lists 56 to 57 mathematics items in 1 hour 10 minutes at grades 4 to 8.

Is this 4th grade TerraNova practice test free?

Yes, with no sign-up. Science and social studies are on the real test but not here, because the publisher's sheet lists no objectives for them. The publisher links a few sample items of its own from its TerraNova NEXT page.
