How this list was compiled: Own questions, written from the Oregon Revised Statutes, 2025 Edition, as published by the Oregon Legislative Assembly at https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/Pages/ORS.aspx, downloaded and read on 2026-10-12: chapters 656, 731, 734, 735, 737, 742, 744, 746 and 806. Each question names its section and links to its chapter. The Legislative Assembly's table of sections amended or repealed in the 2026 regular session (https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/lawsstatutes/2026OrLawAR.pdf) was read the same day: of the sections first drafted it lists ORS 656.210 and 656.262, so no question rests on either. Statutes only: no Oregon Administrative Rule was read. The topics follow the Oregon part of the content outline of the Oregon Producer's Examination for Property and Casualty Insurance, Series 12-04 (150 questions, 2 hours and 40 minutes), which prints the ORS references beside each topic; it is linked from the Candidate Information Bulletin that the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation posts at https://dfr.oregon.gov/business/licensing/training-ce/Documents/candidate-bulletin.pdf (the outline: https://proctor2.psionline.com/media/programs/or%20ins/12-04.pdf). Licence: Own work. Every question, wrong choice and explanation was written for this site from the text of the law. Nothing comes from a testing vendor, a prep course or an exam question pool.
How it works
This unofficial Oregon property and casualty license practice test asks state law the exam outline cites: 125 free questions from the Oregon Revised Statutes. Policy forms are not asked. Not affiliated with the Oregon Division of Financial Regulation.

Oregon property and casualty practice test, by the outline's ORS numbers
The Series 12-04 outline prints ORS references beside its Oregon topics. Nine groups follow them: adjusters and consultants, trade practices, cancellation and binders, auto, the statutory fire policy, rates and forms, the FAIR Plan with surplus lines, the Oregon Insurance Guaranty Association and workers' compensation.
What Oregon writes into the policy
Every liability policy on a private passenger vehicle carries personal injury protection, and uninsured motorist coverage matches the bodily injury limits unless a named insured elects lower ones in writing. A fire policy gives 24 months to sue. The guaranty association pays up to $600,000 on an insolvency from 2025 on.
Auto cancellation: 30 days' notice, 10 for nonpayment; nonrenewal 30 days with the reason (ORS 742.564, 742.566).
Homeowner cancellation: 10 days for nonpayment or fraud, 30 for the other listed reasons (ORS 746.687).
Minimum auto liability: $25,000 for one person, $50,000 for two or more, $20,000 for property (ORS 806.070).
