What the LEAP grade 7 math test covers

The state's guide sorts the test into three reporting categories. Major Content carries 27 of the 55 points: proportional relationships and percent, operations with rational numbers, and expressions, equations and inequalities. Additional & Supporting Content, 9 points, is scale drawings, circles, angles, surface area, sampling and probability. Mathematical Reasoning & Modeling, 19 points, asks students to explain, find errors and solve multi-step real-world problems.

How the answers are checked

Each answer names the Louisiana standard or LEAP evidence statement it practices, such as 7.RP.A.3 for percent problems, and shows the steps. Every result was computed again from the numbers in the question.

  • Session 1 of the real test allows no calculator, so work the rational number questions by hand.

Questions and answers

Is this a LEAP 360 7th grade math practice test?

No. LEAP 360 is the state's own optional set of diagnostic and interim assessments, which schools give during the year. This page is separate, unofficial practice on the same grade 7 standards.

Is this the LEAP 2025 math practice test for grade 7?

No. The state's own grade 7 practice test, listed on its practice tests page under the name LEAP 2025, runs in its testing software. The box under the questions links to that page. These 44 questions are unofficial.
