Reading 12

  • Read the passage. Fernhill Middle School should replace its vending machines with a student-run snack cart. The machines sell the same six items all year, and last spring they were out of order for 31 school days. A cart could change its menu each week. It would also teach something: students in the business club would order stock, set prices and keep the accounts. Some worry that a cart would crowd the hallway. Yet it would stand only at lunch, in the space the machines fill all day. According to the passage, who would set the prices at the snack cart? Smarter Balanced ELA/Literacy Summative Assessment Blueprint, grades 6 to 8, Claim 1 (Reading), informational target 8: Key Details

  • Read the passage. Ilse had practiced the solo for six weeks, and for six weeks the high note had cracked like thin ice. On concert night she stood at the side of the stage, counting the folding chairs to keep her hands still. Mr. Okafor passed with a stack of programs. What grade 7 math asks most

On the grade 7 blueprint, proportional relationships and equations supply 8 or 9 of the Concepts and Procedures items, more than any other pair of targets. The 40 math questions keep those shares, and half of them practice problem solving, modeling and reasoning.

The English language arts set

Its 24 questions cover reading on three short texts, then writing and research. Reading leans toward nonfiction, as the grades 6 to 8 blueprint does. The real test adds listening and a performance task with a full written piece, which a multiple-choice page cannot give.

Questions and answers

Is there a CAASPP practice test for 7th grade as a PDF?

This practice prints as a paper test with an answer key, and the print window can save it as a PDF. California's own CAASPP practice tests for math and English are the Smarter Balanced ones, taken online.

What is on the SBAC math grade 7 practice test?

Unit rates, percent problems, equations and inequalities, operations with negative numbers and fractions, circles, angles, random samples and probability. These are the grade 7 targets of the mathematics blueprint, and each answer here names its target.

Can you use a calculator on the 7th grade SBAC math test?

In one of two sections. The Calculator Available section has an on-screen scientific calculator in grades 7 and 8, and the other section allows none.

What is a passing score on the 7th grade SBAC?

No pass mark is published. Scores fall in four achievement levels. In grade 7, Level 3 runs from 2567 to 2634 in mathematics and from 2552 to 2648 in English language arts. A percent right here is not a scaled score.

How long is the SBAC test in 7th grade?

Untimed. The consortium's estimates for grades 6 to 8 are 3 hours for mathematics and 3 hours 30 minutes for English language arts, each with its performance task.
