What the exam covers

Parts V to VII of the Wyoming Property and Casualty Adjuster outline are Wyoming statutes, rules and regulations. The outline prints no question count for any of its seven parts.

What this page asks

Those three parts: the commissioner, hearings and orders, adjuster licensing (W.S. 26-9-219), discipline, unfair trade and claim practices, claim payment, binders and auto coverage law. Cancellation notice periods and liability limits are asked on the Wyoming property and casualty page.

Adjusters from other states

Wyoming licenses a nonresident on the home state license, and an adjuster whose state issues none may designate a home state (W.S. 26-9-219). The Department of Insurance asks that the designated state require an exam, a fingerprint background check and 24 hours of continuing education every two years.

  • 24 classroom hours of continuing education each two years, at least 3 on ethics (W.S. 26-9-231).
  • A property or casualty claim is rejected, or accepted and paid, within 45 days of the claim and supporting bills (W.S. 26-15-124).
  • An adjuster reports overinsurance, and the origin and cause of a fire loss, to the commissioner in writing (W.S. 26-23-102).
