The topics and the sections asked follow part II, Alaska Laws, Rules, and Regulations Pertaining to Adjusters, and the workers' compensation line of part III of the Alaska Specific Adjuster content outline, effective March 3, 2025, which the Alaska Division of Insurance's examination administrator publishes at https://www.pearsonvue.com/content/dam/VUE/vue/en/documents/publications/122203.pdf. Each question names its section and links to it. Licence: Own work. Every question, wrong choice and explanation was written for this site from the text of the law. Nothing comes from a testing vendor, a prep course or an exam question pool.

Which part of the outline this is
The Alaska Specific Adjuster outline, effective March 3, 2025, has 80 scored questions: 18 on insurance terms, 21 on Alaska laws and regulations for adjusters and 41 on policies and coverages. The topics here follow the 21, plus the Workers' Compensation Act that the coverage part cites.
Licensed claim adjuster Alaska state practice test: newer numbers than the outline
The outline cites AS 21.89.020 and 21.89.030 for motor vehicle coverage and claim payment. Those sections were renumbered AS 21.96.020 and 21.96.030, and the questions use the new numbers. Policy forms and textbook claims concepts are not asked.
Exam mode
Exam mode keeps the real exam's scored length and time limit, with every question on the law.
Acknowledge a claim in 10 working days, investigate in 30, accept or deny in 15 after proof of loss (3 AAC 26.040 to 26.070).
An independent adjuster needs six months of experience in the previous two calendar years, or a trainee license under a licensed adjuster (AS 21.27.830, 21.27.840).
Records of a transaction stay open to the director for five years (AS 21.27.350).
Questions and answers
How many questions are on the Alaska adjuster exam?
80 scored questions in one section, by the content outline effective March 3, 2025. The candidate handbook of September 2023 allots 1 hour 30 minutes and says unscored pretest questions are added.
What score passes the Alaska adjuster exam?
The candidate handbook gives a passing score of 70, reported as a scaled score that is neither the number nor the percentage of questions answered correctly. A trainee needs 60 at four months and 70 at eight.
Is this Alaska claim adjuster practice test free?
Yes. All 123 questions are open, and your answers stay in your browser. The questions were written for this page from the statutes and regulations; none comes from the state exam, and the Alaska Division of Insurance did not write or review them.
Who needs an adjuster license in Alaska?
Under AS 21.27.010, nobody may act as an independent adjuster in Alaska without a license. The candidate handbook adds that an insurer's salaried employee needs no independent adjuster license.
