Which license
The questions are for the agricultural licenses the Texas Department of Agriculture issues: commercial, noncommercial and private. Structural pest control is a different license under Occupations Code chapter 1951 and is not covered.
The General Standards exam
Rule 4 TAC 7.22 has commercial and noncommercial applicants pass the General Standards exam, including laws and regulations, and at least one category exam. This bank is the laws and regulations. No topic list beyond that is published, so none is claimed.
Exam mode
Exam mode draws 50 questions in 60 minutes at the 70% pass mark: half the length and half the time of the real General Standards exam.
- Texas regulates three classes together: restricted-use pesticides, state-limited-use pesticides and regulated herbicides. Most licensing rules name all three.
- Two years is the record period for applicators and dealers alike.
