Which exams Mississippi gives
Chapter 09 has every commercial applicant pass a written core examination and one for each category sought, from Crop Pest Control to Metam-Sodium. A private applicator is certified by written examination, with or without training.
What this bank covers
This bank practices the state regulations: certification, records, dealers, hearings and state restricted use. Federal label and worker protection rules are on the pesticide applicator practice test.
Certificate or license
The Bureau's licensing sheet says a certificate does not let a person advertise or solicit business as a pesticide applicator; that takes a license. A mock exam here is 40 questions, our number.
- A private certificate is renewed every five years.
- Two years is the keeping period for private, commercial and dealer records.
- The hearing clock: thirty days to apply, ten days to convene the board, five days to decide.
Questions and answers
Is this the real Mississippi pesticide applicator test?
No. It is unofficial practice written for this site from the Bureau of Plant Industry's regulations. The real examinations are given for the Bureau, with computer-based testing through Metro Institute, and none of their questions are here.
What score passes the Mississippi pesticide applicator exam?
The Bureau's regulations and the Department's certification page print no pass mark, so this page does not guess one. A mock exam here ends in a score with no verdict.
How much does the Mississippi commercial applicator exam cost?
The Department lists $55 per test, an administrative fee, for computer-based testing through Metro Institute at centers in Meridian, Mississippi State, Oxford and Jackson. All exams are closed book and proctored, and a government issued photo ID is required.
How do I get a private applicator license in Mississippi?
The Department says private applicators, producers of agricultural commodities, attend an approved training course and pass a written examination. Chapter 09 also allows the examination without training, sets the age at 18 and has applicants verify they are actively farming in Mississippi.
How long is Mississippi commercial applicator certification good for?
Thirty-six months from the date of issue. The Department says it renews by a Bureau-approved training course in the twelve months before expiration, or by an examination given by the Bureau.
