Which exams Montana gives
ARM 4.10.203 sets a core examination and a specific examination for each classification, such as Agricultural Plant Pest Control or Aquatic Pest Control. The core list begins with pesticide laws and rules.
What this bank covers
The department names two core study materials: the National Pesticide Applicator Certification Core Manual and Montana State Laws and Regulations Pertaining to the Use of Pesticides. This bank practices the second subject, from statute and rule. Federal rules are on the pesticide applicator practice test.
Retakes
After a first failure the wait is seven days, after a second 15 days, and after a third the next try comes on January 1 of the next year. A mock exam here is 40 questions, our number.
- Renewal is due on or before March 1 of the calendar year; after that the statute adds a $25 late licensing fee.
- Application records are written within 24 hours, kept two years, and sent to the department within 14 calendar days of a written request.
- Requalification comes before every fifth licensing period: 12 credits, six of them in person or by live webinar, or the full examination series again.
