What the real exam covers
The department's Laws and Safety Examination Outline, read October 8, 2026, lists eight topics for a 100-question exam. This bank covers the Oregon ones: license types, certification periods, prohibited acts and civil penalties, state recordkeeping, and the statute's definition of integrated pest management.
What is left out
Protective equipment, first aid and toxicity, drift, groundwater, storage and disposal are not here, so treat this as an Oregon pesticide applicator practice test for the law topics only. Federal label and worker protection rules are on the pesticide applicator practice test.
Exam mode
Exam mode draws 50 questions in 60 minutes at the state's 70% pass mark: half the real exam's length and half its two-hour block.
- Keep two periods apart: operator records are kept at least three years, and a private applicator certificate lasts five.
- Civil penalties step up: $2,000 for a first violation, $4,000 for a later one, $10,000 for gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Questions and answers
