How this list was compiled: Outline: the Grade 7 Mathematics Evidence Statement Tables of the PARCC test design, https://resources.newmeridiancorp.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Grade-7-Math-Evidence-Statements_with-ABO-subclaim-points_a11y.pdf, with the short-form Mathematics High Level Blueprint, https://resources.newmeridiancorp.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/NMC-Math-ABO-High-Level-Blueprint.pdf, both published by New Meridian and read 2026-10-12. Each question names the sub-claim and the evidence statement it practices. Every calculation is worked out again from the numbers in the question. Licence: Own work. Questions, answer choices and explanations were written for this site from the published evidence statements. Nothing is copied or reworded from a PARCC test, a released item, a practice test, an example in the evidence tables or another practice test.

What seventh grade is tested on

Major content, 20 points: unit rates, proportional relationships, percent problems, adding and multiplying negative numbers, equivalent expressions, equations and inequalities. Additional and supporting content, 10: scale drawings, circles, angles, volume, sampling and probability. Reasoning, 10. Modeling, 12, with estimates and grade 6 rate and surface-area problems among them.

Which skills allow a calculator

The evidence tables mark signed-number skills and most expression, equation and inequality skills non-calculator. Unit rates, percent problems, geometry, statistics, reasoning and modeling are marked calculator. The line under each answer carries the mark for its skill.

  • Rewrite a subtraction as adding the opposite before you compute: 4 − (−7) becomes 4 + 7.
  • A percent change multiplies. 20% off is times 0.8, and an 8% tax is times 1.08.

Questions and answers

What is on unit 1 of the 7th grade PARCC math test?

The design lists no topics by unit. Unit 1 has a non-calculator section and a calculator section, the non-calculator part has no constructed-response items, and each unit carries about the same number of points.

How long is the PARCC math test in 7th grade?

Each of its three units lasts 80 minutes on the full form and 60 minutes on the short form, which the District of Columbia adopted in the 2020-21 school year. The District, a PARCC member from 2015 to 2023, now gives DC CAPE.

How many questions are on the 7th grade PARCC math test?

The full-form blueprint lists 38 scored tasks: 31 Type I, 4 Type II and 3 Type III. The short form lists 31: 25, 3 and 3, worth 52 points. Field-test items are added to both.

What is a good PARCC math score in 7th grade?

The design names performance levels, not a pass mark. On the 650 to 850 scale, the District of Columbia’s education office prints Level 4 for grade 7 mathematics as 750 to 785 and Level 5 as 786 to 850.

Is there a paper PARCC practice test for 7th grade math?

Yes, an unofficial one: these 52 questions print as a paper test with an answer key, or can be answered on screen.
