What field 028 covers

By the test objectives read October 13, 2026: listening comprehension 15%, reading comprehension 15%, language structures and comparisons 15%, cultural understanding 15%, language acquisition, instruction and assessment 20%, and writing 20%. Writing is a written assignment, so this bank covers the other five with 9, 9, 9, 9 and 12 questions.

Listening, printed

The real listening questions are heard through a headset. Here each spoken text is a transcript in Spanish, and its question and choices are in Spanish too.

Where the answers come from

Transcripts and passages are our own, and their answers are read in the text. Every other explanation names its page: a Wikipedia article, the ACTFL summary of the World-Readiness Standards, or section 380.1278a of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

  • One multiple-choice question in four is about teaching: acquisition theory, program models such as FLES and FLEX, standards and assessment.
  • The test page says the Spanish test and a Professional Knowledge and Skills test are both required for the FF endorsement at initial certification.
