What field 009 covers
By the test objectives read October 13, 2026: historical concepts and skills 10%, world history 33%, U.S. history 33%, and interdisciplinary perspectives (geography, economics, political science and core democratic values) 24%. This bank holds 5, 17, 16 and 12. Against the clock, all 50 take 75 minutes, the pace of the real test.
Michigan in the questions
The objectives name Michigan history and civil unrest in Detroit, so the bank asks about the Council of Three Fires, the Toledo War, the Soo Locks, the Flint sit-down strike and the Walk to Freedom.
Where the answers come from
Each explanation names its page: a National Archives document, a State Department Office of the Historian Milestone, or a Wikipedia article. Three questions rest on a case printed in the question.
World and U.S. history are a third of the test each and run by era, seven objectives apiece, from the first societies to the present.
Objective 021 tests reasoning about public issues, so practice naming a fallacy or a missing piece of evidence in a short argument.
