What is particular to Wyoming
Assistants hold a certificate, not a license. One therapist supervises at most five personnel, no more than three of them aides. Dry needling takes twenty-seven hours of live training and is closed to assistants and aides. Licenses expire October 1, with thirty continuing competence units every two years.
- Before any service the patient gets a handout on the therapist's degrees and a warning that insurance may not cover the service (W.S. 33-25-102).
- Telehealth counts as delivered where the patient is, so a patient in Wyoming needs a therapist with a Wyoming license.
Questions and answers
Does Wyoming have a physical therapy jurisprudence exam?
Yes. Chapter 3 of the Board's rules asks new graduates and applicants by endorsement for a successfully completed state jurisprudence examination, and the Board's forms say it is completed with the application.
What is a passing score on the Wyoming jurisprudence exam?
At least 75 percent. Chapter 3 of the Board's rules sets that score for an application in Sections 1 and 2 and for renewal in Section 4.
Is the Wyoming jurisprudence exam open book?
Yes. The Board's application forms say the examination is open book and is found on its website with the Practice Act and the Rules and Regulations. The Board's exam page says a passing result is forwarded to its office automatically.
How often is the Wyoming jurisprudence exam taken again?
Every two years. Chapter 3, Section 4 makes the examination part of renewal together with thirty continuing competence units, and the Board's renewal form asks for it in the year those units are due.
Are these the real Wyoming jurisprudence exam questions?
No. They are unofficial practice written for this page from W.S. 33-25-101 through 33-25-116 and the Board's rules. The Wyoming Board of Physical Therapy took no part, and none of its questions appear here.
