What a Wisconsin Forward Exam practice test for math in 8th grade covers

The state blueprint spreads 48 points over five reporting categories. Expressions and Equations has the most, 13 to 15: exponents, roots, scientific notation, slope, linear equations and systems. Functions and Geometry have 10 to 12 each: rules, rates of change and graphs, then transformations, angle facts, the Pythagorean Theorem and volume. Statistics and Probability has 6 to 8, on scatter plots and two-way tables, and The Number System 4 to 6, on irrational numbers.

Where each answer can be checked

Each explanation shows the steps and names its standard, such as M.8.EE.C.7, in the Wisconsin Standards for Mathematics (2021). Every answer was worked out a second time from the numbers in the question.
