How this list was compiled: Our own questions, written to the science section of the ATI TEAS as Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) describes it on its TEAS Exam Details page (https://www.atitesting.com/teas/exam-details, read 2026-10-09, headed "TEAS Version 7 is now live"): 50 science questions, 6 of them unscored, in 60 minutes; of the scored questions 18 are on human anatomy and physiology, 9 on biology, 8 on chemistry and 9 on scientific reasoning. The bank holds 21, 10, 9 and 10 in that order. Every fact was read on 2026-10-09 in the public source the question names: the SEER Training Modules of the National Cancer Institute (anatomy and physiology), the MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia of the National Library of Medicine, the Genetics Glossary of the National Human Genome Research Institute, DOE Explains of the U.S. Department of Energy, the Water Science School of the U.S. Geological Survey, the SI Units page of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and Wikipedia. Arithmetic answers are worked out again from the numbers in the question. Licence: Questions, choices and explanations are original work of this site.

How it works

This TEAS science practice test has 50 questions of our own, as many as the real section asks in 60 minutes. It is unofficial and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI), which owns the TEAS.

What the science section covers

ATI's TEAS Exam Details page, read October 9, 2026, counts 44 scored science questions: 18 on human anatomy and physiology, 9 on biology, 8 on chemistry and 9 on scientific reasoning. Six more are unscored. This bank holds 21, 10, 9 and 10.

  • Anatomy and physiology is the largest area, about four in ten of the scored questions. Start there if time is short.
  • On the real exam a question left blank is scored as incorrect and a wrong guess costs nothing more, so answer every one.

Questions and answers

Is this an ATI TEAS 6 science practice test?

No. ATI's exam details page reads "TEAS Version 7 is now live", and these questions follow that version's four science areas. A TEAS 6 practice test was written for an earlier version.

Are these real ATI TEAS science questions?

No. Every question is our own, written from ATI's published outline and checked against a public source such as the National Cancer Institute's SEER training modules. None is copied or reworded from the exam or from ATI's practice tests.

What score do you need on the TEAS science section?

ATI sets no pass mark. Each school sets its own cut score, so ask the program you are applying to. ATI reports a science score from 0 to 100% beside the total score.

Are ATI TEAS 7 science practice questions all multiple choice?

On the real exam most are, with four options and one right. ATI says about 20% of the exam is other kinds: multiple select, fill in the blank, ordered response and hot spot. Every question on this page has four choices.
